These include: higher skills level on the part of technical and operational staff. increased automation of functions, and, the flattening of hierarchies within the organisational structure.
As a result, the role of the supervisor now goes beyond the traditional control model. Greater emphasis is placed on the value added through leadership skills, especially in the support and development of staff, sustaining quality of the service and linking their team to the rest of the Organisation.
Course Aim
The course prepares experienced air traffic controllers for their role as operational ATC supervisors.
