The ICAO 055 Area Procedural course trains ATCs in managing en-route air traffic using procedural control techniques, ideal for regions where radar coverage is incomplete or unavailable. It focuses on ensuring aircraft safety through the application of time, altitude, and distance separations.

The aim of the (ACP) Course is to prepare Air Traffic Controllers (ATCs) for procedural control in area control settings, where radar is not used.
